Year 2

  • Attend a Career Services Orientation meeting.   These are offered during the early weeks of the semester.  Don’t miss it!
  • Register with the Business Career Services Office (104 Cornell Hall).  After you register, visit the eRecruiting  web site and complete your online profile and upload a resume.  
  • Continue researching. Go to different companies’ informational meetings and create a list of 10-20 prospective companies.
  • Buy an interview suit and shoes. You will need these for interviewing AND for your first job. Start building your professional wardrobe early.
  • Attend the Fall and Spring Career Fairs.
  • If you don’t have a part-time job or aren’t an active part of an organization, why not? When job-hunting, what will you tell a recruiter? "I didn’t work. I didn't participate. Please hire me?" Developing transferable skills are very important!
  • Attend the Leadership Conference. Applications are available in early October – 104 Cornell.
  • Attend P.L.A.N. (Winter Semester).  Students are matched with professionals in their field of choice for a day of mentoring.  Applications are available in January – 104 Cornell Hall.
  • Attend a BCS workshop.  There are many from which to choose:  "Dress to Win", "Resume Writing", "Behavioral Interviewing", "eRecruiting"
