MBA Consulting Projects
A key element of the Crosby MBA Program for all students is participation in two MBA consulting projects that provide real-world, problem-solving field experiences.
In BA 8600, one of two consulting courses, students are assigned to teams that analyze specific situations associated with real client organizations. The teams act as consultants and meet with the clients, draft proposals, schedule follow-up meetings, and present findings in both a written report and a final presentation.
Some recent projects included:
- A telecommunication system that monitors calling patterns of departments within the University Hospital system.
- The strengths and weaknesses of care after departure from University Hospital.Miller’s Professional Imaging’s statistical procedures to monitor its process quality.
- The demographics and housing competition of the East Campus area of Columbia for Junk Architects, a firm that is considering a housing project in that location.
Consulting teams can assist with a multitude of business issues including creating a business plan, developing a marketing plan, and solving budget or financial issues.
