Gaining Altitude

The School of Accountancy was once again “flying high” when academic leaders across the nation were asked to name schools that consistently produce students capable of becoming partners in the accountancy profession. Public Accounting Report, which is written for public accounting firms’ partners and professionals, opinion leaders, and other industry analysts, conducts an annual survey of accounting professors in the U.S.

Last October, Public Accounting Report issued the results of its latest annual survey. MU’s School of Accountancy was in the top 20 for undergraduate programs, and the top 25 for both graduate and doctoral programs. There are approximately 500 master's degree programs in accountancy or MBA programs with accounting concentrations in the U.S., so these rankings place MU’s School of Accountancy in the top 5 percent nationally.
