This event is a repeat from 2 p.m., students may attend one or the other but not both.Come join the Recent Alumni Advisory Board (RAAB) for a panel discussion about transitioning from college to your first career. Following the panel, a number of RAAB members will be available for further questions and introductions.Picture yourself as an intern or a recent graduate working at the company of your dreams. It's your first day - you're confident, energized, well-dressed, and excited. As you get started with your work, you realize you have some unanswered questions about the real world now that you've transitioned "From Cornell to Corporate."

  • When is it okay to bother your cube neighbor?
  • How do you handle work-related social events and not be "that guy/girl?"
  • What is this "benefits package" they speak of?
  • How do you find a good mentor?
  • How do people possibly wake up so early and be productive at 8:00 a.m.?
  • How do I budget my paycheck?
  • And WHY didn't anyone tell me what I should and shouldn't reheat in the office microwave?!

These are questions that recent TCoB alumni can help you with. The Recent Alumni Advisory Board (RAAB) of the Trulaske College of Business will be hosting a panel of recent alums with a wide range of backgrounds, including college major, current industry, level of experience, and geographic location. Feel free to bring your own questions about transitioning from the college world to the adult world - because we've all been through it.

The Recent Alumni Advisory Board is a volunteer organization comprised of TCoB alumni who want to give their time and experience back to the college.
