MBA candidate named one of P&Q’s 2019 Best & Brightest MBA’s

Crosby MBA candidate Orvil Savery was named one of 2019’s Best and Brightest MBA’s by Poets and Quants, the publication and community forum that intimately tracks the journey of elite MBA’s. Orvil was one of 100 candidates chosen for the recognition from 71 different MBA programs inside and outside the U.S., and was selected based on equal weight of the following criteria: extracurricular activities, academic and professional achievements and insightfulness of responses. 

“We are delighted to see Orvil recognized as part of Poets and Quant’s 2019’s Best and Brightest,” said Jana Stern, Trulaske Graduate Programs director. “He has leveraged the types of opportunities we hope to create with this Crosby MBA program with exemplary skill and grace.

“The outstanding care and support he demonstrates to his fellow classmates underscore his servant leadership that enriches the lives of those around him, builds a better student body and ultimately creates a more just and caring community. The investment he has made in himself serves as an example for those who will follow.”

According to P&Q, Orvil is, “An unequivocal dreamer with a passionate curiosity for life,” and plans to work for KPMG after graduation.

“Poets & Quants is a known and acknowledged name in the MBA space, and receiving recognition from an organization like this is a humbling experience,” Orvil said. “No one becomes successful without a lot of hard work, the right opportunities and support from others. Being named one of 2019’s Best and Brightest MBAs validated a lot of the investment others have a made in me and served as an opportunity to share with the world the value of a Crosby MBA and just how far I’ve come with the help and support of others.”
